About us
Built by the community, for the community
Falah — success, flourishing, salvation. Falah Futures exists so that no Muslim has to choose between their faith and getting help.
Our vision
A future where every Muslim community in the UK has a safe, faith-sensitive place to turn when life becomes overwhelming — where recovery is spoken about openly, and where struggling is met with mercy rather than shame.
Our mission
To provide confidential recovery support, mentoring, youth programmes, education and safe spaces that help people rebuild their lives — while equipping mosques, families and partners to respond well.
Our values
The principles we are accountable to
These are not slogans. They are the standards our volunteers and staff are held to.
Compassion(Rahma)
We meet people with mercy before advice, always.
Trust(Amanah)
What you share with us is a trust we take seriously.
Sincerity(Ikhlas)
We serve for the sake of Allah, not for recognition.
Community(Ummah)
Nobody should carry recovery alone.
Dignity
Every person keeps their dignity, whatever their story.
Hope
Change is always possible. We hold hope until you can.
Accountability
We are transparent with our communities and our funders.
Why we were founded
Because too many people were slipping through the gaps
Falah Futures began with conversations that kept repeating themselves: a mother who did not know who to call, a young man leaving treatment with nowhere faith-aware to go, an imam who wanted to help but had never been trained for it.
Mainstream services do essential work, but they are not always equipped for the questions our communities bring — about repentance, family honour, fasting and medication, or belonging. We were founded to sit in that gap, and to work alongside the NHS, councils and charities rather than apart from them.
Islamic principles
How faith shapes our approach
Our work is guided by mercy (rahma), the sanctity of life, the protection of a person's honour, and the responsibility of the community towards its most vulnerable.
We do not use faith as a source of pressure. Nobody is asked to prove their practice, explain their past or justify their pain before receiving support. Recovery is treated as a journey of return, taken at a pace that belongs to the person walking it.
We work with people of all backgrounds and none. Our services are open to anyone who feels they would benefit from a faith-sensitive space.
Long-term goals
Where we are heading
Year 1
Establish recovery circles and mentoring in two boroughs, train a first cohort of volunteers and publish our safeguarding framework.
Year 2
Open our first Safe Space Hub, extend youth programmes into schools, and formalise partnerships with mosques and NHS services.
Year 3
Build a regional network of hubs, launch a volunteer training portal and publish annual impact reporting.
Year 5
A national model that any Muslim community can adopt, with multi-language resources and measurable outcomes.
You are welcome here. You are not alone.
Whether you need support, want to give your time, or would like to partner with us — there is a place for you at Falah Futures.
